Agri & Food chains
Harrij Schmeitz Harrij Schmeitz received his BSc Degree on Horticulture at the Agricultural College of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 1985. Since then he has worked between two fields, technology and agri-business. More and more involved in projects were Innovation & Technology are leading the way.
In December 2011 Harrij became the Managing Director for the Open Innovationcenter Feed Design Lab. Here he works on Open Innovation in Feed & Feedtechnology.
Harrij Schmeitz: “When I made the first sketches in 2009 for a new testing facility for the development of sustainable animal feeds and new technologies for the animal feed industry making use of co-products and by-products from horticulture, I never believed that at the end of 2011 I would be challenged to actually shape the project. It is an enormous challenge in which I can utilise my experience and knowledge of animal protein chains, feed production, technology in the industry and also horticulture as an important supplier of raw materials.”
In his weblogs he will share with us his views on the re-design of the feed-industry in perspective of the protein-chain.
