Provimi, part of Cargill’s animal nutrition business, has appointed Yohann Jaouen as its new additives business developer for their European, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). He joined the company on August 1st 2013.

Jaouen will be responsible for leading Provimi’s growth agenda on feed additives as part of the overall portfolio that is being offered to customers throughout EMEA. He will work closely with both the commercial and marketing teams to achieve this objective and with the technical team to identify new innovative additives that would fit Provimi’s portfolio.

Born in Brittany, he studied agricultural engineering and graduated with a Master’s degree from Lasalle Beauvais University in France.

While at university he worked at swine farms in France and on dairy farms in the US as well as in a large cooperative in Brittany where he learnt more about farm management and nutrition. Post university he then spent two and a half years in Mozambique on a project to reintroduce cattle onto small family farms.

For the past nine years Jaouen has worked for company Lesaffre Feed Additives. His first role was as export manager where he was responsible for developing new markets in Europe, India, Pakistan and South Africa. For the past four years he worked as technical and marketing manager in Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia.
