Cargill builds new cattle feed plant in India

Agricultural giant Cargill has inaugurated a new animal feed plant in Bathinda, Punjab in the presence of the Honorable Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal and the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Sukhbir Singh Badal. This new plant is a testament of Cargill’s commitment to support the growth and development of the booming dairy industry and its farming community in India. The plant will provide consistently high-quality, nutritious and safe feed to dairy farmers in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It will produce 10,000 metric tons of feed per month and feed 75,000 cows per day.

SPACE innovation for Adisseo enzyme

French animal nutrition company Adisseo received a 1 star innovation award at the livestock show SPACE. The SPACE exhibition in Rennes, France, took place last September. Companies can receive a 1, 2 or 3 star 'Innov'Space' award. Adisseo received the 1 star recognition for its enzyme solution: Rovabio® Advance. This product improves the digestibility of all feed nutrients, including amino acids, phosphorus and calcium, whatever the type of diet. The enzyme solution contains rabinofuranosidases (ABFs), a very important kind of debranching enzyme. These enzymes work synergistically with xylanases to efficiently break down complex fibre structures in plant cell walls.

Schippers Europe sells mineral division

Belgium based company Nutriprof has acquired the mineral division of Schippers Europe BV, for formulation of animal feed diets for clients in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark. Schippers want to focus more on the development and concepts for (preventive) animal health (such as the product MS Optima Concept for transition cows). Nutriprof is located at the base of the Ardennes, the heart of mineral mining. Over a year ago, the company also acquired the activities of Provimi Belgium, part of Cargill’s Animal Nutrition division.

New production line in Spain by cooperation Cargill and KSE

Cargill and KSE strengthen their partnership through a new production line in Spain. Cargill’s animal nutrition business will streamline its production capabilities in Spain by extending its facility in Mequinenza with an additional state-of-the art production facility. To do so, Cargill strengthens its partnership with KSE Process Technology, who plays a key role in this project. The new facility will be equipped with the latest technology for animal nutrition production. This includes several ALFRA dosing and weighing systems, flexible silos for storage of raw materials and an internal transport solution from KSE. The extension will enhance product quality, customer experience and improve logistics.

Danish probiotic producer Chr. Hansen teams up with LinkAsia Partners to bring increased focus on Chr. Hansen’s commitment to R&D. Together, Chr. Nuscience launches new range of piglet feed

The new product range will be officially launched at the EuroTier exhibition.
