Is contamination-free feed production realistic?
Feed manufacturing is becoming more tailor made; each farm is its own formulation. This make it extremely difficult for medium sized feed compounders to keep all their products properly separated. Carry-over can be a major problem as a survey of the German Research Institute of Feed Technology showed.
