CJ CheilJedang celebrates 5M tonnes target

Together with the new vision of “Becoming the Global Livestock Company through People, Technology and Business Model” the feed business unit of CJ CheilJedang is making a new start.

Recently, at the Gunsan plant CJ held a celebratory ceremony for exceeding
feed production of 5 million tonnes with attendance of customers, former
employees and managers of sales agencies as well as the current employees and
officers.

Annual production of CJ is estimated at 1.4 million
tonnes.

Gunsan Plant achieved the result of exceeding feed production of
this milestone ton in a very short period of time. “Such a result has seldom
happened in the industry, if any,” CJ said in a press release.

At the
centre of this achievement were the customers who had infinite confidence in CJ
feeds.

The Gunsan Plant has been producing and supplying safe and
high-quality feeds and the marketing capacities of CJ Western District Business
Division.

Prior to achieving this result, Gunsan Plant has been
implementing the optimal production basis for processed feeds as well as
production plants of special feeds for dogs and fish. Bulk facilities have been
expanded in diverse ways to secure a monthly production volume of 35,000
tonnes.

Also CJ has been making ceaseless effort to achieve the highest
level quality/ safety competitiveness by automating entire processes,
establishing real-name system for certification of bulk production quality and
obtaining ISO, HACCP and KOSHA certificates, etc.

In order to achieve the
vision of CJ Feed to become a ‘global livestock company with human force,
technology and business model’ and the new goal of accomplishing the production
of 10 million tonnes in the near future, Gunsan Plant will further
develop.
