Piglet rescue incubator receives award
The Rescue Deck of Dutch feed company Provimi received the ‘Neuheit des Jahres 2009’ award from The Deutsche Landwirtschaftsverslag.
The system is a kind of incubator with a special
drinking nipple that enables optimal nursing for surplus and small
piglets.
This makes it a unique concept that saves
piglets that would otherwise starve or fall out. Provimi has also developed
Rescue Milk, a milk product for piglets that are reared the Rescue Deck.
The Rescue Deck was chosen as winner because of its potential to attract
many customers and because it is an innovative product.
