Visitors very positive about Victam Asia

19-05-2008 | |

This VICTAM was the ‘best ever’. This was the overwhelming result of the surveys of visitors, conference delegates and exhibitors at the event that was held in Bangkok from the 5 – 7 March this year.

The Victam show displayed a wide range of equipment for the processing,
moving and storage of animal feeds, aqua feeds, pet food, rice and grains, as
well as, biomass. Whilst exhibitors within the new exhibition – FIAAP 2008,
(Feed Ingredients & Additives Asia Pacific 2008) introduced a comprehensive
display of ingredients and additives to the specialist animal feed markets of
South and South East Asia.

More visitors
Over six thousand
registered visitors, an increase of 55% on the 2006 event, attended the
exhibitions and conferences from throughout South East and Asia and beyond, in
fact there were visitors from 69 countries. The number of non-Thai visitors grew
to 40% as against 29% for 2006.

The event was highly praised by these
visitors for the number of professional displays organised by the exhibitors and
the highly informative, professional and courteous manner shown by the
exhibiting staff. The number of exhibitors also grew and the exhibition space
increased by 43% on that occupied by the 2006 show.

It was not just the
number of visitors that more than doubled over the last show in 2006. The number
of delegates attending the series of technical conferences more than tripled.
Delegates attending these conferences were impressed at the wealth of
information and practical help provided by the range of international speakers
present and the conference programmes provided by the organisers.

The
conferences organised are as follows:
1. The FIAAP Conference – The
ingredients for success!

2. Pet food Forum Asia 2008
3. Aqua feed
Horizons
4. The Thai Feed Conference

The dates of the next Victam
Asia & FIAAP will be published in the fall of this year.
