LLC invests in DDGS drying technology
Iowa Corn Opportunities LLC, a company owned by the Iowa Corn Growers Association, has made an investment in Cellencor Corp.’s microwave drying process for distillers grains.
The microwave technology reduces the drying time of
distillers grains (DDGS) by dehydrating the feedstock from the inside out, saving
ethanol producers up to 20% of operating costs. Although Cellencor’s main focus
is the corn-based ethanol industry, the system also dries other feedstocks.
