Cehave: strong growth in pigs on liquid feed

Bert Fierkens, manager pigs at the animal nutrition company, analysed from the Cehave’s sales data that the number of pigs on liquid feeding has risen by 50% in the last 18 months.

He made his comments at a special event for liquid feed production sites, early June, in the Dutch town of Veghel. Four subjects were being discussed: milling and medicine; diversity wheat yeast; high energy feeding and lowering manure disposal costs.

It was concluded that producers of finishers often choose for liquid feeding when building new facilities; in sow production it is about 50%.
