Victam Asia 2010 ahead of schedule

Despite the economic downturn and other problems Victam Asia, Fiaap Asia and the newly introduced Grapas Asia 2010 are ahead in both the number of exhibitors and floor space reserved at the same time as Victam’s last shows in 2008.

Exhibitors are taking advantage of the platform provided by these three important trade shows to capitalise on the economic recovery and growth that is expected by next spring, Victam says in a news release.

It seems, although not purposely planned, that the three trade shows are ideally timed so as to attract and influence the senior trade executives from within these industry sectors.

Asia and South East Asia with their less exposed economies will be able to bounce back more quickly. It is a great bonus and incentive for industry buyers to meet under the same roof with their suppliers.

There will also be an additional incentive for visitors to come to Bangkok in 2010: it is not just the feed industry that is being focused on with Victam (feed milling equipment) and Fiaap (feed ingredients) Asia, but also rice and flour milling, grain processing and storage, industrial noodle and pasta production, breakfast cereal and extruded snack production.

These industry sectors now have their own dedicated exhibition and conference – Grapas Asia 2010.

This exhibition completes the series of exhibitions giving rise to Victam’s theme – “A partnership in synergy”. This will undoubtedly help the event to build on the success of the last event in 2008.

The exhibition in 2008 attracted over 6,000 trade visitors, and these senior executives came from 69 different countries. This visitor figure is almost double that of the previous show in 2006.

All three exhibitions will now be officially supported by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

The extensive activities of TCEB assists the organizers in promoting the events both within Thailand and elsewhere within the Asia/Pacific markets.

TCEB also offers additional benefits, such as organizing fast track immigration facilities at Bangkok International Airport for exhibitors, conference delegates and visitors.

Victam, Fiaap and Grapas Asia 2010 are held from 3 – 5 March 2010 in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
