General Manager of Victam International, Henk van de Bunt, has offically opened this year’s Victam Asia, to be held 3-5 March in Bangkok Thailand. Van de Bunt was accompanied by Mr Andre Oosterveld, President of Victam International and Dr. Kanok Katikarn, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Victam Asia is the foremost event within South East Asia for manufacturers and suppliers of technology and equipment used for the production animal feed, petfood and aquafeed. Also included within the trade show are suppliers of ancillary equipment and systems required within the feed manufacturing process. Victam Asia is held every two years and the number of exhibitors has increased this year. Henk van de Bunt: “This year’s Victam Asia is 20% larger, in terms of number of exhibitors end the floor space, we are practically sold out”.

GRAPAS
Biomass technology is an expanding new sector within Victam Asia 2010 and companies will be exhibiting their latest technology for biomass pelleting, etc. The show is co-located with: FIAAP Asia 2010 & GRAPAS Asia 2010. It is the first time that GRAPAS is organized with the Victam Asia. Van de Bunt: “We want to expand the portfolio we are offering for our visitors. GRAPAS, focusing on the rice and flower milling has of course a lot in common with the products which are used in the animal feed industry. The machinery used – such as elevators – are practically the same”.

With FIAAP, the organizers are creating synergy between all the different parts of the animal feed business. FIAAP offers complete coverage of the Asian/Pacific market for ingredients and additives used in the production of animal feeds, petfood and aquafeed.

New! AllAboutFeed magazine
At the Victam Asia, Reed Business (publisher of AllAboutFeed.net) officially lauinched the new magazine AllAboutFeed. This new magazine is a merger of Feed Mix and Feed Tech magazine and will create – together with the website – a strong brand for the total animal feed production and technology business. Marketing executive for AllAboutFeed explained: “By creating one dedicated magazine for our clients, we can include both hard ware/processing as well as animal nutrition articles in one publication. Together with the website AllAboutFeed and the AllAboutFeed email newsletter we can create synergy between those 3 media channels”.
