People: Jan van Haperen joins Provimi

Van Haperen joined Provimi on March 1, 2012 and is based in Rotterdam. His role includes providing technical sales support to Provimi clients, mainly in the southern part of the Netherlands, in Belgium and in Germany. He will also be part of Provimi’s RescuePig-team.
 
After studying animal sciences at Wageningen University Jan worked for  animal feed company Hendrix UTD for eight years, firstly as a sow and piglet specialist, and then as a nutritionist and  product manager for the laying hens business. He spent much of his time in Germany in this capacity.

Keen to develop close links between new product development and implementation in the commercial environment Jan will work closely with his clients and encourage their cooperation with new concepts.

“My new role with Provimi gives me the opportunity to keep in close contact with many people including producers, nutritionists and compound feed manufacturers,” says Van Haperen. “This gives me an insight into all aspects of animal husbandry and feed production, which I see as key to offering the best support to clients.”
