European Commission splits feed additive Register

03-01-2011 | |

In edition 104 of the European Register of Feed Additives published on 3 December 2010, the European Commission has split Annex 4, the factual list of feed additives.

The first part (from page 49) contains all products which dossiers have been submitted for re-evaluation before 8 November 2010 when regulation 1831/2003 came into force.

In the second part (from page 216) all products are named of which no dossier has been submitted for re-evaluation.

The products mentioned in the second part of the register will be banned in the near future. The European Commission is still in consideration on how to phase out the use of these products.

The Commission also intends to prevent that these not-registered products re-enter the market as a feed additive.
