Xiong becomes chairman pig association

The Association is a government sponsored entity. It provides policy,
guidance and assistance to its over 400 members – mainly local pig farmers in
the Jiangxi Province producing up to 25 million pigs yearly.

Xiong, who
has been a vice chairman of the Association for the last three years, commented
that he is “honoured to lead the association”, which represents all the
commercial pig farms in the province where the headquarters of AgFeed is
situated.

AgFeed’s Chairman Songyang Li, PhD, is enthusiastic about the
appointment stating that he believes that it represents recognition by the local
government of his organisation’s “in-depth knowledge of the pig raising
industry”. His organisation, in turn, will benefit from Xiong’s expertise and
broad contacts in the region.
