The Feed Design Lab is organising its first meeting for young professionals that work in the feed industry at the Scelta Ceuticals plant in Venlo, The Netherlands on 7 November 2012.
“The Young Feed Professionals (yFEEDpro) consists of a network of young professionals in the feed and petfood industry who take up the challenge to share knowledge and network for a sustainable animal feed industry which has a future,” explains Harrij Schmeitz, Director of Feed Design Lab.
Here ‘young’ means under 40 years of age and be employed in the animal feed industry or at a supplier of raw materials or feed ingredients. The aim of FDL is to create an active network of yFEEDpro.
The first meeting takes place at the Scelta Institute, an initiative of Scelta Ceuticals, which is a company active in growing mushrooms and deriving alternative feed ingredients from mushrooms.
“It is our first meeting and I hope many young professionals will attend. There will be three speakers to inspire the attendants and there is plenty of time for networking,” Schmeitz says.
Interested young professionals can attend by sending an email to yFEEDpro@gmail.com with their name, date of birth and company they work for. The meeting will be in Dutch language.
