Paul Goethals, MSc (47) starting 1 September 2012 has been appointed as product manager ICT at Fancom BV in Panningen, the Netherlands.
In his new position, Goethals brings along a lot of experience and knowledge about management systems in the agricultural sector. In the past 9 years he has worked as project manager and account manager at Wageningen UR Livestock Research.
Before that he has contributed to the development of several chain information systems in the agri and food sector. He has a degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Wageningen.
Goethals about his new position: “I see it as a nice challenge to further shape the ambitious growth plans of Fancom. For me, the need for information of the farmer plays a central role in this. Companies are getting larger and larger and the margins are under pressure. Quick and specific information about his operational processes is of crucial importance. I am convinced that with the use of the latest developments in ICT we can offer profitable solutions. And to make the information better accessible, we more and more work with modern communication means like smart phones and tablets.”
