Kahl crown outlet for pellet production with expander
German feed manufacturing equipment supplier Amandus Kahl upgrades is annual gap expander by adding a new crown outlet which makes it possible to directly produce pellets from the expander.
The Crown Expander OEK combines two processes in one: expanding and pelleting, where the expander process is extended with additional shaping of the expandat.
This feature ensures easy processing and pelleting of feed mixtures that are usually difficult or even impossible to pellet.
The device significant increases the flexibility of the expander process and the specific Mechanical Energy (SME) control remains available through the hydraulically driven cone system.
Advantage of the Crown outlet is that coarse particles remain coarse contrary to products being pelleted with a pelleting press.
With the Crown pelleting head Kahl can produce various products from one machine
Upgrading existing expanders
Existing expanders can be upgraded to crown outlet machines and due to the easily interchangeable heads the classical expander head may remain if required.
Furthermore the system has lower power consumption and a high output. Different pellet diameters can be obtained for all species of animals.
