Newburgh engineering acquires Sizer brand name

Newburgh Engineering, based in Rotherham, UK, has established a separate company called Sizer Limited, after having acquired the Sizer name, which is well known in the international pelleting industry.

Sizer Limited will manufacture its own pelleting machines under the wellknown Orbit brand, which originated in Hull back in the 1920s and was one of the very first types of pelleting machines to be produced.

Sizer Ltd will also provide spares and refurbishment services for Orbit and other types of pelleting machine.
Nick Finch, technical director at Sizer, who has been involved with the pelleting industry for over 30 years, said: “We think there are huge opportunities for us to grow our business both in the UK and internationally, based on our knowledge and expertise in the pelleting business.”

Roger Pearson, managing director of Sizer, explained: “We are looking to meet the demand for high quality pelleting machines in new markets such as biomass, waste and the recycling sectors. The realization that pelleted waste can be turned into various useful products has opened many doors.”

Orbit pellet presses can be found across the world in a wide range of industries, including animal feed, food and drink processes, biomass and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).

In addition, Sizer has the benefit of spare parts distribution centres in the UK and Holland, providing service to customers, while also partnering with international distributors in countries such as Canada, Japan & Australia.
