Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas and should be minimised to protect the
environment from further damage.
Studies at the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen, UK revealed that
certain plant species could inhibit the formation of methane in a more effective
and sustainable way.
Although the results are promising, more research is needed in this
field.
