Integration of the food chain and the
"farm to fork" philosophy are favourite concepts of politicians and
agribusiness-leaders. But where the industry jumps on the bandwagon, academia
is often slow to follow. Not so in New Zealand, however, where animal
nutrition research and teaching have earned their rightful place in the food
chain.
