Although
mycotoxin binders have proved their worth in preventing the chronic and acute
symptoms of mycotoxicosis in livestock, they do have limitations. Alternative
strategies for non-absorbable mycotoxins are based on the discovery of
microorganisms that can break down or modify toxins.
