ABB Grain teams up with Soufflet Group

// 22 aug 2007

ABB Grain is setting up a joint venture company in the Ukraine, with French-owned agri-industrial group, Soufflet.

Soufflet is the largest malting company in the world, specialising in malting, processing and milling, both barley and wheat.

ABB's managing director Michael Iwaniw says the partnership will enable the company to offer more products to its customers.

"Australian grain is harvested in November/December, whereas Ukranian grain is harvested in July and it also offsets our risk and better enables us to manage our exposure in terms of risks, profile with grain," he said.
