Grain bin accident kills US farmer

// 26 oct 2007

A US farmer has been killed in a grain bin accident after canola collapsed on him.

The 51-year-old farmer and his brother were removing the canola from a bin on their farm near Hannah late Wednesday morning when he became trapped. The canola had heated and caked up the sides of the bin.

Authorities say the farmers' brother called for help and tried to free him. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
