The food products unit of Cargill - Sun Valley Europe- has acquired Freeman's of Newent Ltd, a British chicken processing business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Freeman's, based on Newent in southwest England, has 120 employees. Sun
Valley already had processing facilities in Hereford and Wolverhampton in
England. Cargill's global poultry business has facilities in Britain, France,
Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua and
Thailand.
