Maple Leaf Foods will sell its losing pork processing business. The company
is selling because pig prices are lower than high feed costs.
The Maple Leaf Food facility in Toronto can process up to
50,000 pigs a week and has an export license to 50 nations. It has a workforce
of 23,000 people across Canada, the US, Europe and
Asia.
