The
Dairy
2007 study takes place between December 29, 2006, and September
30, 2007. Currently, the study encompasses producers in 21 dairy states
representing more than 80% of US dairy cows and operations. The farmers who
are participating in the project will be asked to deliver data regarding
their management, animal health and disease prevention.
With this
investigation, which follows Dairy 2002 and Dairy 1996, USDA hopes to gain a
better insight in the way dairy farmers implement animal health measures, to
increase the quality of the end products.
