Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) has outlined its strategy to be the
global leader in BioEnergy while expanding its premier position in the
agricultural processing value chain.
Soybean grower Kip Cullers from Purdy in the state of Missouri has
established a new world soybean production record. For his 2006 crop he managed
to harvest an average of 139.39 bushels per acre (9,373 kg per
hectare).
The Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) will be approaching the Government to
provide assistance for poultry farmers who are facing increased feed costs.
Soybean meal shipments from India have slowed as arrival of imported wheat
and fertilizer has caused congestion at two of the country's biggest ports, said

addresses the question "Can American farmers feed the growing biofuel industry?"
Corn exports in India have increased to 100,000 tonnes in the past two
weeks, which is equal to volumes sold in the previous 45 days. This has lead to
a domestic shortage of corn.
Kentucky Specialty Grains has engaged CoBank, Business
Advisory Services to evaluate the feasibility of specialty soybean processing in
the West Kentucky area. Their work shows KSG will add value for farmers by
vertically integrating the producer into the processing of specialty trait
soybean for human food and livestock feed use.
