Prevention and control of contagious animal diseases in the EU

Mass killing and destruction of healthy animals as a remedy to embank outbreaks of contagious animal diseases is no longer accepted by the general public in terms of welfare and in terms of costs. New strategies must be thought over, which indirectly will also affect the feed industry.
