New ATEX rules minimise explosive atmospheres

As per July 1st, 2003, a transition period will end and two European directives will become fully active: Directive 1999/92/EC (ATEX 137) and Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95). These will have an impact on both companies with an explosion hazard (gas, vapour, mist or dust explosion) and manufacturers of equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.
