Russia: 18-20 mln t of grain in 2008 09 Nov 2007

Russia’s grain exports will amount to 18-20 million tons in 2008, accordin to Alexander Kholostov, head of the department of state purchases and interventions at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to his information, Russia’s grain exports in 2007 will amount to 12-14 million tons.

Arkady Zolochevsky, President of the Russian Grain Union, said, in his turn, that Russia would increase its grain output in the coming years. It will amount to 110-120 million tons by 2015-2020. Russia’s grain export potential will be 50 million tons.
