31 Jan 2011 - Fieldale Farms in Baldwin, Georgia, USA is a family-owned fully integrated farm, which means all parts of the chain in poultry production are in their own hands. This is from hatching egg production up until cut-up ready to cook poultry meat in the supermarket. Feed manufacturing is also incorporated in the integrated formula. 21 Jul 2009 - The farm “Gold Coast Tiger Prawns”, part of “Gold Coast Marine Aquaculture” is located near the mouth of the Logan River in Woongoolba, one hour from Brisbane. Feedmill: Felleskjøpet Agri BA
09 Jun 2009 - Farmers cooperative Felleskjøpet Agri BA is the largest cooperative feedmiller in Norway, with about a 50% market share. Amongst others the company operates 15 feed mills across the country and employs around 2,300 people. With 57 grain depots it is also the largest grain collector in Norway. Head office is in Gardemoen, app. 50 km north of Norway’s capital Oslo. The pictured feedmill is located in Stange, 1 hour drive north of gardemoen. See the photo gallery >>
FEED MILL: The cleanest feed mill in the world
12 May 2009 - Poultry breeding company Aviagen in the US runs a feed mill specifically dedicated to the production of poultry feed for high value breeding stock. The mill, located in Athens, Alabama, is run at maximum hygiene and visitors are not allowed in the main processing area

FARM VISIT: Happy Shrimp Farm in the Netherlands
15 Apr 2009 - The industrial area of Rotterdam Harbour in the Netherlands does not seem to be an obvious location to find tropical shrimps. However, by using the waste heat from a neighbouring power plant, this area turned out to be the perfect spot for the Happy Shrimp Farm, home to two million Pacific Whites. 13 Apr 2009 - Adisseo - headquartered in Antony (France) - manufactures and sells feed additives under the following trade marks: Microvit (vitamins), Rhodimet (methionine), Smartamine (methionine for ruminants) and Rovabio (enzymes). ANIMAL FEED PLANT: Geelen Counterflow - the Netherlands
06 Apr 2009 - Drying and cooling at Geelen Counterflow in Haelen, Limburg, The Netherlands:
For the second time manufacturer of drying and cooling equipment Geelen Counterflow organised a training for pet food and aquafeed producers. Some 20 people participated coming from various regions in the world.
The family owned company just finished and extension to their manufacturing halls to be able to streamline production and shift to make-to-order system to increase efficiency. Focus of the company is food safety, moisture control and energy efficiency.
Feed Tech was offered the opportunity to have a look behind the scenes of this drying and cooling specialist.
