TOS, a new prebiotic derived from whey

Worldwide there is a strong tendency to ban the use of antibiotic growth promoters (AGP). Many companies are now diving into the unexplored market of new feed additives, in order to replace these AGPs. Transgalacto-ologosaccharides, or TOS from Borculo Domo Ingredients, are the latest development in this area. Made from lactose they stimulate the growth of Bifidobacteria and other health promoting bacteria, such as Lactobacilli.
