Oxidative
stress occurs when the production of reactive oxygen metabolites (rom) exceeds
the capacity of the antioxidant system of the cell. Proper supplementation of
antioxidant nutrients can reduce the prevalence and severity of mastitis and
help prevent flavour problems from developing in milk, says Bill Weiss.
