Maple Leaf Foods sells pork processing unit

Maple Leaf Foods will sell its losing pork processing business. The company is selling because pig prices are lower than high feed costs.

The Maple Leaf Food facility in Toronto can process up to 50,000 pigs a week and has an export license to 50 nations. It has a workforce of 23,000 people across Canada, the US, Europe and Asia.
