Dutch feed laboratory opens in Ukraine

Dutch firm BLGG AgroXpertus have opened a feed testing laboratory in Korzhy, Baryshevka District, Ukraine, as part of a joint project with AgroVet Atlantik Group.

The new laboratory is able to provide reports on more than 35 different parameters of feed products. According to the experts this is currently the most modern feed laboratory in the territory of the country.

At the heart of the laboratory is a system of spectroscopy of near IR radiation with a wavelength of about 780-2500 nm. Thanks to this analysis can be carried out on the quality index as well as the of carbohydrates, digestible and indigestible proteins lactation energy, the exchange energy and minerals. On the basis of this data the best feed recipe can be developed and an effective feeding system.

Also the time of analysis of raw materials and the finished feed is greatly reduced. It can vary from 2 hours to 2 days depending on the type of feed (dry, wet) and specific parameters. It should be noted that the classical methods of analysis could take 3 to 5 days. In addition, the research process is fully automated.
