Delacon celebrates 25 yrs in phytogenic feed additives
Over 25 years ago Helmut Dedl saw the challenges facing the animal husbandry industry, such as growing demand for meat and dairy products, escalating raw material costs plus environmental issues caused by livestock waste-products, and set about to address them.
Dedl saw the potential and efficacy of plant-derived natural substances, phytogenics. And in 1988 he founded Delacon Biotechnik and started to research essential oils, herbs and spices with the target to offer sustainable solutions for livestock production. Since its beginning, the production site and the head quarter (HQ) are located separately in Steyregg/Austria.
With the success in more than 45 countries worldwide, and in order to meet the increasing demand for feed additives, Delacon invested heavily into its production extension, thereby multiplying its output by three in just one step. This recent extension offered a unique occasion to assemble more than 200 guests, including customers, distributors and employees of Delacon to inaugurate the new production plant in Steyregg.
