The management of fish feed manufacturer Coppens International has established a buyout whereby Coppens Diervoeding has withdrawn as a shareholder in the company.
This buyout has been made possible by the investment fund of Friesland Bank Investments.
In addition to this, Coppens International has acquired an animal feed production facility close to the city of Venlo, the Netherlands.
This acquisition will enable new independent company to realize the predicted growth expectations for the coming years, and to prepare for possible changes in the EU feed law concerning the use of animal proteins in fish feeds.
During 2012 this production facility will be refurbished to a specialized plant for producing feed for farmed fish.
Coppens International expects that production in the new plant will commence in 2012.
Until the new plant is fully operational production will take place at the current plant in Helmond, the Netherlands.
