Danisco reveal the complete phytate solution

Launching at the International Production and Processing Expo, Atlanta, in January 2013, Axtra Phy is the result of an extensive development programme, including animal studies conducted under a wide range of conditions. The patented phytase, isolated from Buttiauxella has unrivalled performance and economic benefits.

Comparative studies with current E.coli phytases, have demonstrated that Axtra Phy has over 70% greater bio-efficacy than its market-leading Phyzyme XP. This translates into over 20% more release of phosphorus and calcium, and up to 30% more release of energy and amino acids, at standard phytase inclusion levels. Under current raw material prices, these advances in performance translate into incremental feed cost savings of $1.50 per ton compared to existing E.coli phytases.
