'Greener' beef with yeast
Yeast in
cow rations allows a quicker transition to concentrates for short term feeding,
while marbling, fat and meat colour improve in long term feeding. The rumen is
more efficient. Stress will be minimised, which has a positive effect on meat
quality and herd health. And yeast is perceived as being a 'green product'.
