New book on ruminant nutrition and health

Wageningen Academic publishers has added a new book to its portfolio: Nutritional strategies for optimal productivity and efficiency.

The book contains a collection of edited papers taken from a seminar that brought together some of the world's leading authorities in the field of ruminant nutrition and production. The fundamental theme is to re-examine the current trends in productivity within the dairy and beef industries, and to identify nutritional and managerial means to improve competitiveness.

The papers also consider the importance of animal health together with novel strategies for disease control. 'Gaining the edge in ruminant production: Nutritional strategies for optimal productivity and efficiency' is aimed at nutritionists, veterinarians and animal producers as well as students and researchers studying animal and applied biological sciences
