New enzyme from DSM and Novozymes
DSM and Novozymes announce the launch of Ronozyme® ProAct, the first pure
protease for the poultry industry. It reduces feed costs in broilers by
maximizing protein utilization and improving nutritional value while enhancing
Ronozyme ProAct (RPA) unlocks the nutritional value of a large variety of
feed proteins by complementing the activity of digestive enzymes, such as pepsin
and pancreatic proteases.
Due to increasing cost of raw materials the
poultry industry is under high pressure these days. Higher feeding costs reduce
profit and place stress on the entire industry. This new feed enzyme gives a way
to actively minimize these rising feed costs.
The new enzyme is launched
first in Brazil, registration processes have been initiated globally. RPA is the
newest feed enzyme in the great range of Ronozyyme enzymes and is fully
compatible with phytases and other feed enzymes commonly used.
overall Ronozyme product range of feed enzymes is developed within the Alliance
of DSM Nutritional Products and Novozymes and represents the most complete feed
enzyme portfolio within the feed industry.
"The vision of the Alliance
is to provide innovative enzymes to the feed industry by joining the strengths
of the two companies," says Peter Christensen, Alliance manager at
"Novozymes and DSM colleagues from all over the world have
