DSM Nutritional Products to cut vit A and E output

DSM Nutritional Products announces plans to temporarily reduce the output of its Vitamin A and E facilities as the company further focuses on reducing its operating working capital and consistently implements its “value over volume” strategy.

Responding to the situation in global credit markets, the Animal Feed Industry is continuing to reduce working capital throughout the supply chain. DSM also observes a shift in demand patterns from ruminants to pork and to poultry and eggs in particular.

Dynamics in the human nutritional ingredients markets (food, dietary supplements and personal care) are different, although a focus on working capital is also prevalent in this segment.
