Official opening of the new Buhler site in Wuxi, China
Careful organization and a fast pace of execution enabled the site relocation of Buhler Wuxi and Buhler China to be completed within a very short time.
Following a planning period of more than two years, Buhler’s second largest production site in Wuxi, China, was officially opened on March 7, 2009 in the presence of numerous guests.
Over 400 customers attended the inauguration ceremony. The opening address of the mayor of Wuxi was followed by speeches presented by the Swiss ambassador, Urs Bühler, Calvin Grieder, and representatives of the Grain Office of Wuxi and Nanjing.
Then the guests were invited to tour the new factory to inspect the latest products specially developed for the Chinese market.
The new Buhler site in Wuxi also illustrates a very important Buhler principle: In the region – for the region.
Development efforts as well as production are tailored to the needs of the customers in China and are localized.
