Bunge Alimentos opens new soy processing plant
The newest soy processing plant of Bunge Alimentos was opened last week in the municipality of Nova Mutum in the state of Mato Grosso in Brasil.
This is the second largest plant of the company in Brazil and also in the first with extraction in a single line.
The plant in Nova Mutum is intended for the processing of soybeans into oil and meal for the internal market and for export.
The new unit of Bunge Alimentos was built in 14 months and measures a floor spacing of 34,000 m2 on a land area of 200 hectares. The unit must generate 100 direct jobs.
With an annual capacity of 1.3 million tonnes of soybeans this is the 28th unit of Bunge Alimentos in Brazil.
