New industry officers at NGFA
The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) has elected Hal Reed of Ohio as its new chairman.
Reed is president of the Grain and Ethanol Group at The Andersons Inc., Maumee, Ohio, a diversified company founded in 1947.
NGFA members also elected as their new first vice chairman David R. Hoogmoed, executive vice president of Land O'Lakes Inc. and COO for feed for the company's Purina Feed LLC business unit.
Bailey Ragan, vice president and general manager of Bunge Grain, was elected NGFA's new second vice chairman.
The NGFA, established in 1896, consists of more than 1,000-member companies from all sectors of the grain elevator, feed and feed ingredient, integrated livestock and poultry, grain processing, biofuels and exporting business that operate about 6,000 facilities and handle more than 70 percent of all US grains and oilseeds.
In addition, the NGFA consists of 35 affiliated state and regional US grain and feed associations, as well as two international affiliated associations.
The NGFA has a strategic alliance with the Pet Food Institute, as well as a joint operating and services agreement with the North American Export Grain Association.
