PEOPLE: Ton Loman succeeds Kees Sijssens at Agrifirm
Ton Loman wil be the new chairman of the board at Dutch agricultural cooperation Agrifirm. He will succeed Kees Sijssen on 1 January 2012.
The new Agrifirm was formed in 2010 when Cehave Landbouwbelang in Veghel and Agrifirm in Meppel joind their cooperative forces.
Sijssens previously was CEO at Cehave and with the merger became the first chairman of the board of the new venture. Loman was CEO of the old Agrifirm and vice president in the new firm. Now he moves on.
Another member of the board, Ad Wals, is also leaving the company. With the departure of the two directors the board is reduced from 4 to 3 members: Ton Loman, Joost Helsen and Jaap Vessies.

With about €2 billion in turnover and more than 3,000 employees has a position in the top 10 of European agriculture cooperatives.
