Fire in storage with 6,500 tonnes of animal feed

A fire broke out in a barn containing over 6,500 tonnes of animal feed at Frontier Agriculture in Dunkirk near Aylsham in Norfolk, UK.

Six fire engines from plus an aerial ladder platform and a water carrier from were used to battle a fire that broke out at a feed storage of Frontier Agriculture.
John Baker, fire station manager said: “It’s going to be a long job because there’s 6,500 tonnes of animal feed and its blazing at the top, where it is not easy to reach.”
 “We will probably be here all day because we will have to take all of the feed away to ensure that it stops smouldering. We’re hoping the fire is not too far into the feed.”
