Wilbur-Ellis Company shows steady growth in Asia feed business

Wilbur-Ellis Company, a marketer and distributor of value-added animal feed ingredients in North America and Asia-Pacific, reports that in recent months it has expanded relationships with key suppliers and its portfolio offerings for its Feed Asia business.

Notably, PCS, producers of monocalcium phosphate, have expanded their relationship with Wilbur-Ellis beyond Indonesia to include distribution in Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.
The company also signed an agreement with Kemin to distribute antioxidants to the Japan companion animal industry and associated raw material suppliers.
“Having a working relationship with companies like PCS and Kemin shows that we are a trusted partner in the distribution of animal feed ingredients in Asia-Pacific,” said Ron Salter, president of the Feed Division.
“The Asia distribution market is complex and highly regulated, and it requires thorough knowledge of these markets which is what sets us apart from other distribution companies.”
Wilbur-Ellis established Feed Asia in June 2010 to combine its Feed Division’s sourcing and marketing expertise with the resources and broad footprint of its Connell Brothers Division in Asia-Pacific.
Over the past two years, the Feed Division has collaborated closely with Connell Brothers to introduce its value-added ingredients and service to customers and suppliers in Asia-Pacific.
Feed Asia currently has distribution locations in Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
