Amlan builds sales, marketing team in China

Amlan International, animal health company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil-Dri Corporation of America, has expanded its China company sales, marketing and support team located in Shenzhen, China.

Qian Hua has been hired as the country sales director and will lead the sales and marketing team to expand sales and build distribution. Qian has 25 years of sales and managerial experience. He has managed sales for several animal health companies including Topigs (Shanghai) Animal Breeding Co. Ltd, Biomin Feed Additive (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, Cheil Jedang Group. In these roles Qian implemented successful sales and marketing strategies that increased feed additives sales to livestock producers. He has a Bachelor of Economics from East China Normal Unversity and an MBA from Shanghai Jiao Tong University/University of North Virginia.

Wen Lv has joined as the marketing coordinator. Lv comes to Amlan with three years’ experience within the branding and communications group of a leading global genomics company. She was responsible for organising technical conferences, managing the company’s attendance and participation in technical symposiums and trade shows, developing brand awareness strategies, and sales collateral. She has a Bachelors degree in biological sciences and a Master’s degree in Botany.

Tom Gan will support the office business as accounting manager. Gan brings fifteen years of experience in accounting and financial management with American, Canadian, and Taiwanese foreign owned enterprises in China. His experience includes China and US financial reporting, corporate, VAT, and personal income taxation, cost accounting, and developing internal controls. He graduated from Hunan University School of Finance and Accounting and is a Certified Tax Consultant.

Bella Xu will support the Amlan Trading (Shenzhen) office as office manager. Xu has a degree in Hospitality and Customer Service from Qingdao University of hotel management. She has worked as Customer Service/Customer Relations representative for one year, and will support all administrative tasks.

Since the launch of the animal health division in 2007, Amlan International has grown in its product offerings, gut health research and expert team of sales, marketing and technical staff. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oil-Dri Corporation of America, Amlan Trading (Shenzhen) Company, Ltd., recently opened its China operations in Shenzhen, this spring.

Amlan International sells disease management solutions that help livestock producers in their operation. Calibrin-Z broad spectrum toxin binder is the company’s breakthrough product for bacterial and fungal toxins control for improved performance in livestock.
