GMP+ International has asked the public for their views on the new GMP+ FRA standard for GMO controlled feed.

Companies in the feed chain are increasingly confronted with market demands for non-GMO feed. Because of the increased importance of non-GMO production, GMP+ International has teamed up with VLOG (Verband Lebensmittel Ohne Gentechnik), owner of a non-GMO scheme in the feed & food chain, to create the all-new GMP+ FRA GMO-Controlled Feed standard.

This standard is part of the GMP+ FRA module. It sets specific requirements which enables companies to comply with the market demand. The new standard is to be used in combination with the already existing FRA standard B100 Feed Responsibility Management System.

The GMO-Controlled standard draft has been prepared in close collaboration with representatives of the German, Polish and Dutch feed companies, and experts from VLOG – Verband Lebensmittel Ohne Gentechnik.

Before finalising and publishing this standard, and according to the decision procedure, GMP+ would like to invite you to comment on this draft before 4 June 2018. Please find the reaction form here. All comments will be added to the final draft of the standard, which will be sent to the GMP+ International Expert Committee for approval.
